RUNNING OUT OF PALLET SPACE?

Contract Warehousing · Maglód

HGL has provided warehousing and flexible 3rd Party Logistics to Hungarian and multinational clients for nearly 30 years, from long-term contracted storage to pay-as-you-go capacity and webshop fulfilment.

In the 1990s, our management team pioneered modern 3rd Party Logistics services within Hungary and the wider CEE region, and consequently HGL has all the necessary systems and experience needed to effectively provide for any requirement.

How much does storage cost / pallet / day?

Set your pallet count and storage period. The calculator shows the average daily cost per pallet, including one inbound and one outbound handling in addition to storage.

The final rate is always based on an individual quote.

Calculated Rates net, excl. VAT

Storage unit price by volume tier 1 100 200 500

Pallet count → volume tier

Average Pallet Cost

0 HUF / pallet / day

Current volume tier:

Inbound 0 HUF / pallet
Storage 0 HUF / pallet / day
Outbound 0 HUF / pallet
Storage + one-time inbound and outbound, spread over the period
Inbound and outbound, one-time 0 HUF for the total pallet count, one in and one out 0 HUF/pallet
Storage cost / month 0 HUF storage fee only 0 HUF/pallet/month

This calculator is an indicative estimate, at net rates excluding VAT. It calculates one inbound and one outbound movement for the full selected period, spreading that one-time cost across the days in the period. Final rates are always confirmed in an individual quote. The unit price applies to the total pallet count within the relevant volume tier; storage is billed daily on the pallet positions actually reserved. Additional services (order picking, repacking, bonded warehousing, excise handling) are billed separately.

Growth doesn't have to mean construction

Your warehouse is full and the season has barely started. There’s no more room on the racking, goods stored in the aisles slow down picking and increase the risk of damage. Expanding a lease takes months, building a new facility takes years — but the next container is already on its way.

  • You’ve run out of space. Utilization is consistently above 95%, which hurts both service time and error rates.
  • You need to grow flexibly. A new customer, product line, or export market is starting up, but volume isn’t yet stable enough to justify a multi-year lease commitment.
  • You need temporary storage. Seasonal peaks, a production changeover, a warehouse move, a project shipment, or import awaiting customs clearance — a need lasting a few months that doesn’t justify sizing for fixed capacity.

Contract warehousing is the faster answer in all three cases, because it turns storage from a fixed cost into a variable one. No deposit, no capital investment, no hiring or training — you pay for the pallet space you actually use.

Three cost components

Inbound

Receiving, checking, and putting away pallets in a pre-agreed time window, with immediate WMS registration. One-time fee, HUF/pallet.

Storage

Daily billing on the pallet positions actually reserved, at tiered unit rates. No minimum commitment period within a month.

Outbound

Release, loading, and documentation. One-time fee, HUF/pallet. By default, the pallet that comes out matches the one that came in, without further handling.

The service can be extended as needed: order picking by FIFO, LIFO, batch, expiry date, or IMEI number; repacking; bonded warehouse storage; excise handling; returns and product-recall processing; and web-shop fulfillment with nationwide 24-hour delivery.

Why Maglód?

  • Direct access to the M0. From the eastern section of the M0 ring road there’s a direct ramp onto the M4, M31, and M3, so both the western and eastern parts of the country — as well as routes to Slovakia and Romania — are reachable without passing through central Budapest traffic.
  • Minutes from Liszt Ferenc Airport. For air import and export, a short pre-carriage leg between the warehouse and customs clearance gives a direct lead-time advantage for e-commerce and time-critical shipments.
  • Budapest delivery zone. The capital and Pest County can be covered with a single daily delivery route.

Eight HGL locations are available nationwide, with TAPA/EMEA-compliant security, so storage can be placed wherever the distribution center of gravity is.

Background and certifications

HGL has provided warehousing and 3PL services to Hungarian and multinational clients for nearly 30 years; in the 1990s our management team pioneered the domestic and regional 3PL market.

Inventory management runs on our in-house WMS, with item-level RF scanning and open interfaces to the client’s ERP system — so there’s no parallel record-keeping.

Operating 24/7/365, with NAV (Hungarian Tax Authority) approval for excise administration.
