HGL is pleased to announce that as part of our commitment to operating more efficiently and reducing our impact on the environment, we have achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification. This adds to the to the many certifications and licenses already in place for our operations in Budapest, Vecsés, Debrecen, Törökbálint and Atlanta, Georgia.
With many businesses and consumers considering their carbon footprint, this certification reflects our strong belief in building a more sustainable business for our employees and customers.
We strive to prioritize the importance of environmental protection, protection of natural resources, reduction of pollution and risks, and the preservation of the health of our employees and the people living in the area.
Accordingly, we have evaluated and now take action to eliminate or diminish any harmful effects to the environment of the services or internal work processes provided by our organization. Additionally HGL Group seeks to continuously improve the level of harmonization with the environment and to ensure full compliance with the relevant legal regulations. The new procedures that are deployed will help us to improve our performance and will create a more efficient business with less waste.
For HGL Group Hungary, certification and the active management of our environment through our Environmental Management Systems (EMS) will ensure:
- Increased efficiency in our processes.
- A reduction in the use of resources and materials for any given activity.
- Less waste production and therefore reduced costs for waste management – HGL Group use a Paperless Operational Management and Archiving System!
- Less time wasted in operation leading to reduced handling costs and a higher service level for our customers, implemented through our Operational Excellence Program!
- An increase in the share of renewable resources and systems used. When purchasing company cars, HGL now selects electric vehicles.
- A higher environmental competence throughout the company.
In addition to ISO 14001 HGL is also ISO 9001 certified, demonstrating our ability to consistently provide a high-level of services that fulfil the expectations of customers and also meet regulatory requirements.
