As a successful and rapidly growing logistics company, HGL Group likes to support sports and sports clubs to also grow and be successful. Our company is therefore happy to announce that we have signed a sponsorship contract with the DAK-DEAC University Table Tennis club in Debrecen, which is an up-and-coming newcomer to the Hungarian table tennis scene.
Building on their present successes the club like HGL focusses on the future, and this autumn the University’s team will compete in the national championships under the name “HGL DAK-DEAC”.
The Cívisváros club’s women already play within the top three divisions of the national championship (Extraliga, NB-I., NB-II.), while the club also competes in the men’s category at NB-I. and NB-II. level, and entry to the Extraliga is already in their sights.
This Debrecen Table Tennis Club is already the national leader in the U9 to U15 youth category having accumulated success after success in age-group competitions. Now, for the first time in the history of table tennis in Debrecen, the women’s team has reached the final four of the Extraliga!
Marking the start to our cooperation with the DAK-DEAK club, the Women’s Table Tennis Extraliga Final Four domestic celebration of table tennis will be held in Debrecen on June 10-11, and one of the main sponsors of the event is the HGL Group!
As a background to our sponsorship of the club, we can look not only at the determined faces of dozens of enthusiastic young table tennis players, but also consider DAK’s goal to introduce table tennis to around 1,000-1,200 elementary school children in the context of physical education classes during the next academic year.
The enthusiasm and commitment shown by the DAK-DEAK club’s members make it easy to see how they have reached the top level of their sport, and it can be safely assumed that they will continue to be successful there. Coming from Hungary’s second largest city this is no accident – in Debrecen we know that we have to try harder, and so we do try harder!
It is no coincidence that HGLGroup’s second largest office is in Debrecen, and it is also no coincidence that our offices are located at the international airport both there and in Budapest, so that we can always provide the best service in the least time. We want to develop with the Debrecen Table Tennis Club and reach the top together. Our ambition is that as a dedicated logistics company we can contribute to the future economic success and progress of Debrecen and the region!
Like table tennis, our logistics industry is exciting and fast moving which is why we chose table tennis as the sport to support, as experts consider table tennis to be the most complex and difficult of all ball games. Experience, skill, tactics, focus, lightning reaction time, ultra-fast decisions with direct consequences, quick solutions….well, the similarities between logistics and table tennis are clear for everyone to see.
