Madame Tussauds waxwork of Marilyn Monroe and Leonardo di Caprio

HGL Group helps the world’s oldest show into their newest location in Budapest

HGL Group is hugely proud to have assisted in the delivery of exhibits for the Madame Tussauds Museum, which opened in Budapest on May 25.

This exhibition logistics project was a very complex move with challenging transport and handling elements, but with our special projects team we were able to manage everything on schedule and to the great satisfaction of our customer.

Madame Tussauds Budapest opened its doors in the capital city’s beautiful Dorottya Palace on May 25th, offering visitors the opportunity to interact with the extremely delicate wax figures of around 50 famous Hungarian and international personalities and their associated installations.

Madame Tussaud’s first panopticon and wax museum opened in London in 1835 and remains a major tourist attraction in the city, featuring wax figures of historical and royal figures, film andsports stars. Since 1970 the attraction has expanded from its original London location across 4 continents, with Budapest being its latest and 25th location.

HGL are pleased not only to have contributed to Madame Tussauds’ increasing international business, but also to have played a part in adding a major tourist attraction to Budapest, and strengthening the Hungarian tourism industry. This very much fits with HGL’s strong commitment to boosting Hungary, Hungarian businesses and the Hungarian economy.
