The Forwarding 2024 conference is one of the most important events for the Hungarian logistics industry. HGL Group took part in this year’s event, where future logistics trends were discussed.
Experts, managers and decision-makers from the transport industry gathered at the meeting on 27 and 28 November to discuss challenges and opportunities for the future. HGL Group was represented at the event by Csaba Németh, Managing Director of the company.
The conference covered a range of current topics in logistics, including digitalisation, logistics applications of artificial intelligence, increasing supply chain efficiency and sustainable transport solutions. Digitalisation and sustainability featured prominently in the presentations and panel discussions, while e-commerce logistics challenges were also a major focus, in particular the issue of managing year-end peak periods.
Shaping the future together
Csaba Németh, Managing Director of HGL Group, stressed the importance of the conference:
“The Forwarding 2024 conference is a great opportunity to build relationships with partners who share our commitment to efficient logistics solutions. The challenges we face can only be solved through joint efforts. This is particularly true in the current global economic climate.”
The company’s managing director also said that the HGL Group has a strong ambition to actively contribute to the development of the industry in the long term, in addition to its day-to-day operational work. HGL’s involvement in Debrecen is a major milestone in this respect, thanks to which direct cargo flights from China now operate to Debrecen Airport.
“We would like to achieve further results similar to the success story in Debrecen. We want changes that will be a clear win-win for all logistics companies and, through them, all customers.”
– Csaba Németh added.
The importance of professional forums
To achieve its objectives, HGL regularly participates in various professional meetings.
One such event was the BUD Air Cargo Day, which brought together more than 250 Hungarian and international professionals in Budapest, at the Bálna Conference Centre.

HGL also organises its own professional meetings in cooperation with the Hungarian Business Community of CEOs (MVÜK). The association also held business meetings at Budapest Airport in 2024 and 2023, and organised an exclusive airport tour for business leaders.

HGL management believes that Forwarding 2024 and similar events will contribute to the dynamic development of the logistics industry as a whole. In a world where the complexity of supply chains and rapidly changing customer needs are a constant challenge, open dialogue and innovation are key.
HGL Group is proud to be an active part of this dialogue.
